WILSON - Carol Sandifer Skinner, 63, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 15, 2010. For thirty years she was a dedicated teacher in NC public schools. Carol was involved in many ministries of the First Baptist Church, Hope Station, and other areas of service where her sweet, compassionate spirit was evident to all. The funeral will be Wednesday, 1 PM, at First Baptist Church followed by a time of visiting and sharing. She is survived by her husband, Henry M. Skinner, Jr.; daughter, Whitney Adams and husband, Todd, of Apex; granddaughter, Cate Adams; mother, Edna Taylor Sandifer of Wilson; sister, Betsy Best and husband, Ray, of Wilson; brother, Sam Sandifer of Wilson; niece, Ashley Best of Wilson; nephews, Christopher Best of Raleigh and Steve Best and wife, Jessica, of Apex; dear friends, Vivian and Garland Ricks of Wilson and their daughter, Jennifer Ricks, of Cambridge, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church, PO Box 1467, Wilson NC 27894 or to For The Love of Dogs, PO Box 8246, Wilson NC 27896.
