John Moore Wilson Jr., 60, died Thursday, October 11, 2007 at the V.A. Hospital in Charleston. Mr. Wilson was born October 30, 1946 in Wilson, North Carolina, the son of Mildred Wilson and the late John Moore Wilson Sr. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving our country in the Vietnam War. He was an assistant manager with Kroger Grocery. He is survived by his mother, Mildred Wilson of Topsail Beach, N.C.; his wife, Brenda Herrin King of Murrells Inlet; one son, Jay Wilson and his wife, Jennifer, of Hillsborough, N.C.; stepson, Dane King and his wife, Teresa, of Southport, N.C.; stepdaughter, Tracy Moore and her husband, James, of Rocky Point, N.C.; four grandchildren, Noah Wilson of Vermont, Jacob Wilson of Hillsborough, N.C., and Ben and Taylor Moore of Rocky Point, N.C.; two sisters, Sidney Goodwin and her husband, Reggie, of Cary, N.C., and Fran Lineberger and her husband, Ken, of Durham, N.C.; and one niece, Susan Butler and her husband, Scott, of Winston-Salem, N.C. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Eastern Division, Inc.
