Ann Polhill Deans slipped away peacefully in her sleep at our home in Raleigh, NC on October 10, 2014 after a long, dignified and peaceful journey with Alzheimer’s, a Neurocognitive Disorder.
Ann was the daughter, of Rutherford Brown Polhill and Louise Wannamaker Polhill of Wilson, NC and the daughter-in-law of Robert E. Deans, Sr., and Leyta Perry Deans of Wilson, NC.
She is survived by her husband, William P. Deans Sr., of Raleigh, NC and four children. Melissa Ann Deans and two granddaughters, Elizabeth Polhill Deans, husband and three grandsons, William P. Deans, Jr., wife and two grandsons, and Emily Deans Walker, husband and three granddaughters.
Ann was cremated and her ashes buried in the Deans Family plot in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson, NC, beside Leyta P Deans and next to a space reserved for William P Deans Sr., who will join her at a later date.

Ann attended Ralph L. Fike High School, Wilson, N.C. and graduated from Peace College, Raleigh, N.C.
Ann was a gifted NeedleArts Artisan and a member of the Smockers Arts Guild of America. Ann specialized in English Smocking for Children and French Handsewing by hand. Ann created numerous childrens outfits, French Handsewn Bonnets and Christening gowns for Baptism.
Ann was a devoted mother and wife and her life can only be described by (Proverbs 31:10-31)
