        In the photo are shown retired biology professor Dr. Jerry Pickering (president of the Board of Directors of the Allegheny Arboretum on the IUP campus), Jason Wallach (freshman biology major), and Dr. Ray Winstead (IUP biology professor representing the IUP General Biology Program).  This photo was taken in the fall of 2004 and accompanied an article in "Inside Indiana University of Pennsylvania: Faculty and News" February 10, 2005 on the occasion of the IUP General Biology Program donating the funds to buy identifying plaques for campus trees.  The funds had originally been raised through royalties for an earlier version of the General Biology Lab Manual created by the General Biology Faculty.  (The current lab manual is printed locally without any royalties.)
